Uttarkashi to Gangotri via Harsil. Route: Uttarkashi, Harsil, Gangotri. Nearly 100 kilometer and nearly 5 hour drive. Altitude ranges from 1200 meter to 3100 meters. Stops on the way: Harsil Valley. Scenic spot. Stop for lunch or tea by the Bhagirathi River. The place is famous for its apple orchards, pine forests, wooden bridges. If fit and acclimatize, you can go up to Gomukh and return to Bhojbasa overnight.
